How to post, follow, and grow on OerSocial without fake engagement

Growth on OerSocial is public and slow. That is not a slogan. It is how the product is built. There is no secret boost button. There is no paid follow pack. People see your posts because they follow you, they found you in Explore, or someone they follow reposted you.

Write posts that can stand alone

A useful post is original, readable, and finished. Say one thing. If you attach media, make the text explain why the file is there. A caption that only says "check this out" wastes the people who cannot autoplay video.

Do not paste the same pitch into every thread. Repeated unsolicited promotion looks like spam and can be removed. If you have a link, one clear sentence about why it belongs here is enough.

Replies should answer the post you are under. If you are changing the subject, start your own post.

Make a profile people can recognize

Use a display name you would say out loud. Keep a username you can share in person. A short bio that states what you make is more useful than a list of other networks. A consistent avatar helps people confirm they found the right account.

Do not put someone else's face or trademark on the profile. Impersonation is a removal reason.

Follow with intent

Follow people whose posts you will actually open. A Following feed full of accounts you never read is noise you built yourself. Ask for follows because the work is worth returning to, not because you promised a follow-back mill.

If someone follows you, you do not owe them a follow. Reciprocal follows as a scheme are fake engagement.

Use Explore without turning it into a billboard

Explore is for discovery. Search people and posts. Click a hashtag only when it describes the post. Stuffing eight unrelated tags into one sentence makes the post harder to read and easier to ignore.

Mentions should call in a person who is part of the conversation. Mentioning strangers to harvest profile visits is another form of spam.

A weekly rhythm that does not burn you out

Pick a cadence you can keep for a month: three posts a week is plenty if they are real. Batch media on one day if that helps. Spend ten minutes answering replies on the days you publish. That is more growth than disappearing for three weeks and dumping twelve posts in an hour.

Look at which posts earned replies, not just likes. A reply means someone spent time. That is the signal worth repeating.

What will not work here

• Engagement pods
• "Follow me and I follow back" threads
• Media you do not have rights to
• Accounts created only to advertise

We would rather have a smaller set of posts people stand behind than a large pile of automated content. If you want a platform that rewards volume of scraped text, this is the wrong site.
