How OerSocial works
OerSocial is a creator community with two layers. The social layer is posts, follows, replies, stories, and messages. The publisher layer is this site's own guides, policies, and contact pages. You can read the publisher layer without an account.
1. Create an account if you want to post
Sign up with an email, a username, and a display name. Confirm you are at least 13 and accept the Terms and Privacy Policy. Confirm the email. Then sign in. If you only want to read the guides, you do not need an account.
2. Publish original posts
Use the composer for text and optional media you have the right to share. Reply when you are answering someone. Follow people you want to read. Explore is for discovery. Profiles collect public posts.
3. Stay inside the rules
No illegal content, hate, sexual content, child exploitation, scraped dumps, or fake engagement. Report is on the post menu. Email support@oersocial.com if you need a human.
4. Private pages stay private
Messages, settings, notifications, bookmarks, and admin do not show ads and are not the public face of the site. Google ads, when enabled, appear on editorial pages and are labeled Advertisement.
