Use OerSocial to explain a paid offer clearly

Describe deliverables, prices, disclosures, and limits without promising platform payouts or guaranteed income.

By OerSocial Editorial · October 13, 2026

OerSocial is a place to publish work and talk with an audience. It does not currently offer a creator ad-revenue-sharing program. Ads on editorial pages do not create a payout entitlement for people who post. A premium or verified mark also does not promise income.

If you use a public post to describe a service or product you sell elsewhere, make the offer understandable. Readers need to know what they are getting, what it costs, where a transaction happens, and which claims are your opinion. This guide concerns clear communication; it does not guarantee sales or replace the terms of your payment provider.

Describe a deliverable, not a result you cannot control

"I will edit a three-minute recording and provide a stereo export" describes work you can deliver. "This mix will make your song go viral" predicts an outcome you cannot control. Use examples you have permission to share and explain what part of the example you made.

Name the scope. For an illustration, explain the intended use, file format, number of revisions, and whether commercial usage rights are included. For a digital download, describe the contents and compatible tools. A clear scope is more useful than a long list of flattering adjectives.

Put the material details near the offer

State the price and currency, or explain how a quote is calculated. Do not advertise a low entry price while hiding required charges in a later message. Tell readers whether an advertised date is a delivery estimate and whether you are currently accepting requests.

If the purchase happens on another website, say so and link to the actual offer. Check the destination as a signed-out visitor. Readers should not have to guess which product matches the post. Never ask for passwords, payment-card details, or identity documents in a public reply.

Disclose a commercial connection

If a brand pays you, gives you a product, or provides a commission when someone buys through a link, make that connection clear near the recommendation. Do not hide the explanation behind a vague hashtag, a long chain of unrelated tags, or a link the reader must open first.

Separate what you observed from what the seller claims. If you only tried a product briefly, say that. Do not present an affiliate recommendation as an independent test or use a badge to imply OerSocial endorses the offer. Advertising disclosure requirements depend on where you and your audience are; check the rules that apply to the specific promotion.

Explain support and cancellation before taking payment

Use the checkout provider's normal process and make its terms available before a purchase. Provide a support contact. Explain any applicable cancellation, revision, and refund terms clearly; do not promise a refund process you have not set up.

For custom work, keep a written agreement about deliverables and permitted uses. Do not start additional work based only on an ambiguous public reply. Bring private order details into the appropriate support channel rather than posting them for the audience to see.

Keep promotion proportionate

Post useful work and answer real questions. Do not paste an offer into unrelated threads or manufacture replies with additional accounts. If readers report misleading claims, review the original wording and correct it. You remain responsible for the accuracy of the offer and for honoring the commitments you make.
